Industry giant finally confirms acquisition of IoW’s largest estate agency
Leaders Romans Group says leadership, brand, branches and staff will all remain the same after purchase deal is inked.

Estate agency blue-chip, the Leaders Romans Group (LRG), has snapped up another independent estate agency, giving the company its first foothold on the Isle of Wight.
The Neg reported the unconfirmed acquisition of eight-branch Hose Rhodes Dickson on 26th July after staff were informed and it leaked out into the local press, but it has taken until now for the contractual arrangement to be finalised.
LRG has now confirmed its purchase of the thirty-two-year-old estate agency, which has grown to be the island’s largest property firm.
It has branches in Ventnor, Newport, Bembridge, Cowes, East Cowes, Ryde, Shanklin and Freshwater and is a well-known firm on the island and a significant employer.
Under LRG ownership, Hose Rhodes Dickson has ambitious plans to strengthen its position within the property market, as well as bringing additional services to the Isle of Wight.
Leadership retained
The three active directors: Matthew White, Marcus Waldron and Jamie Busby (main picture, LtoR) will retain leadership roles within the business.
“We’re delighted to be joining LRG and look forward to seeing the business go from strength to strength,” says Waldron.
“Ours is a real success story – we’re very proud of what we’ve achieved so far, and we’re even more excited by what our future holds under new ownership.
“LRG is a great cultural fit for us; we continue to be a local company, led by Isle of Wight-based directors, who are committed to serving the local community.
“Our customers can expect the same high-quality service and values from the same dedicated and knowledgeable team, with the benefit of being supported by one of the UK’s largest and most respected property groups.”
Matthew Light (pictured), Group Mergers & Acquisitions Director at LRG, says: This move supports both the LRG and Hose Rhodes Dickson growth strategies, and we are all very excited for what is to come.”
