London’s largest property firm signs big deal with ‘agent friendly’ Zoopla

Dexters boss says Zoopla puts agents at the 'forefront' of its business in comparison to other large property portals.

London’s largest estate agency has signed a new long-term contract with Zoopla, saying it considers the portal to be a ‘agent friendly platform’, a phrase OnTheMarket (OTM) has used in the past to differentiate itself.

Dexters, which has 156 offices across the capital, has now signed a three-year deal with Zoopla including a commitment to use the portal’s Valuation Booster in all its branches.

This service enables agencies to target areas where they want to win more instructions by promoting their business ahead of its competitors to applicants seeking a valuation and also target specific neighbourhoods.

Zoopla on the other hand says its position as ‘number one portal for listings in London’ helped clinched the Dexters deal.

”We enjoy working alongside Zoopla who puts us, the customer, at the forefront of their business,” says Andy Shepherd, CEO of Dexters.

“To show our continued support and confidence in this agent-friendly platform, we are delighted to confirm that we have agreed to a new three-year deal.”

Charlie Bryant, CEO at Zoopla, part of Houseful said: “We’re looking forward to working closely with Dexters over the coming months and years to help them deliver on their goals and ambitious plans for growth.

“Housing affordability in London is the best that it’s been in a decade and we look forward to partnering with Dexters to capitalise on this more positive market sentiment and uptick in demand.”

Zoopla and OTM are engaged in a renewed battle to sign up estate agencies following the purchase of OTM by US property giant CoStar and its promise to inject millions into its growth and marketing.
