One of London’s long-established estate agents, Marsh & Parsons, has just completed a company-wide fundraiser that raised over £11,000 for their charity partner, Streets of London.

The 1856 Challenge, which took place last Friday, was made up of employees collectively travelling 1,856km – chosen to mark Marsh & Parsons’ conception in 1856 – either running or walking in order to reach the target to support the homeless charity.

Streets of London is a charity that funds specialist support for people who are homeless in London and raises awareness about homelessness. When Marsh & Parsons first partnered with the charity, they pledged to raise £25,000. The £11,000 raised from the 1856 Challenge has led them to achieve this milestone.

Patrick Littlemore, Chief Executive at Marsh & Parsons, said: “We couldn’t be happier with the amount raised for this worthy cause and I would like to thank everyone across the business for taking part. Homelessness is a huge problem in London and I am so proud of our people for rallying together to help tackle it, one run at a time! Our charity work is invaluable as it encourages teamwork and playful competitiveness among the offices – which is why we will always strive to raise funding and awareness for charities as important as Streets of London.”
