Agents’ daily tasks can be completed by Alto’s new AI skills

Agents’ everyday tasks can now be completed using Alto’s new AI features.

It describes the features as ‘skills’ that can handle appraisals, listings and sales chasing.

They look to complete these ‘routine’ estate and letting agency tasks from start to finish.

Alto Chief Executive Riccardo Iannucci-Dawson (pictured) says the company had spent 18 months developing the skills and had used external consultants to test them, given the regulatory risks of errors in the sector.

He insisted that agents would retain final sign-off before anything is sent.

Alto claimed that the skills had been designed to help agents to spend less time at their keyboards and more time winning instructions.

It comes as the Governor of the Bank of England Andrew Bailey warned that artificial intelligence (AI) could create a global economic downturn.

Bailey suggested that a combination of highly-priced stock markets, increased borrowing by investors, and the growing concentration of money into a small number of major technology companies could amplify any future market correction.

AI skills

Alto’s six skills include an appraisal builder that drafts full reports and ranks comparable properties as well as a property that emails matches when a listing launches or drops in price.

There is also a listing writer, a progression chaser and Alto IQ, which is a business-question tool.

Finally, Alto Analytics is a message write that drafts emails in a branch’s tone.

The launch follows Alto Intelligence, which introduced five AI tools in the spring to support roles within an agency.

Sam Whitehead, operations director at lettings agency The Accommodation Bureau, had early access to the launch.

He says that matching, which normally takes 20 minutes per property when done manually, would be an early focus for his team.
