Controversial online fixed-fee property management firm No Agent has launched a London tube advertising campaign that urges landlords to ‘say goodbye to letting agents’.

The purple ad, which No Agent CEO Calum Brannan (pictured below) tweeted yesterday, offers landlords a full property management and free tenant find service for just £55 a month in the capital and £35 a month outside.

The name of the business has ruffled feathers in the industry in the past, so much so the company lists on Rightmove under its registered name NA Technologies, rather than its trading name.

No Agent’s tube ad launch follows recent comments by Calum within a national newspaper article earlier this month in which he said he didn’t want to see “the complete demise of the traditional letting agent, but we do want to see significant improvements and transformation in the sector,” he said.

“Our plan is to chip away at this market by going against the status quo and championing good customer service. Our goal is to do for the lettings industry what AirBnB did to the hotel industry.

“Our first trade show was scary to say the least, but we didn’t find the hostility we were expecting from letting agents. They love the technology aspect and even enquired about licensing.”

No Agent, which now has 40 staff and 500 ‘consultants’ to manage viewings, was started in 2016 and initially raised £584,000 through an over-subscribed fund raiser on Seedrs. It offered investors a 9.03% stake in the company, valuing it at £3.52 million at the time.

As well as Calum, the company also has former PropertyFinder.com CEO Gillian Kent on board as Chairman plus Max Fordham as Letting Director. He worked at several traditional branches before joining No Agent including Rubicon Estates in London and Balgores Property in Chelmsford, Essex.
