Technology to ‘revolutionise’ video tours
New technology can help agents create high quality virtual tours in minutes.
With a growing number of agents are now using videos to enable them to walk house-hunters through a home virtually and highlight the property’s best features, Vieweet has taken the decision to launch new technology that it believes will radically transform video tours.
Vieweet 360 Tours, which allow online browsers, including prospective purchasers and renters, to take an interactive property viewing via their mobile phone or tablet, is being targeted at agents in the UK that currently use or may be interested in creating virtual tours to help market and promote properties that they are marketing for sale and to let. It combines a ‘fisheye’ lens and extending monopod with a new App – all of which allows a virtual tour to be filmed, edited and shared with a potential buyer or tenant in a matter of minutes.
Co-Founder Domenic Versace said, “Vieweet 360 is set to revolutionise the way property professionals create virtual tours. For the first time, they can get a complete virtual tour live online moments after the photographs have been taken. It’s 100 per cent mobile, there’s no need for expensive digital SLR cameras or complicated editing equipment, and the Vieweet App does all the hard work. In fact, you can film an entire virtual tour of a standard three bedroom property and get it up and running on the web in less than ten minutes.”
The Vieweet 360 Starter Kit, which costs £240, includes an adaptor that enables a fisheye lens to be attached to the phone’s camera and locked into a 5ft high monopod. Standing in the centre of each room, the agent is able to take four images, each 90-degrees apart, which will be put together by the App with its ‘auto stitch’ technology. There is also the facility to create ‘hotspots’ in the tour, allowing the viewer to move from one location to another.
Versace added, “The beauty of this system is that the people taking the images need no photography skills as the App guides you through the process, avoiding the need to hire professional photographers. It also creates a fully-interactive experience for the viewer, who can control how they want to look around each location, and by clicking on the ‘hotspots’, decide where they want to go next.”
Vieweet now has around 85,000 properties in 27 countries available on its database worldwide, according to Co-Founder David Poullier. “All property professionals now have easy access to 360-degree interactive photography like never before – and all for £1 per property per month,” he said. “But what makes Vieweet unique is that we’ve taken a lot of time with our software and infrastructure to make the result scalable – not only within a UK context, but globally too.”
