Leading evictions specialist Paul Shamplina has been made Chief Commercial Officer of property industry insurance giant Hamilton Fraser just three years after his business, Landlord Action, was bought by the company.

Shamplina, who is known to millions in the UK and beyond for his regular appearances on popular Channel 5 TV Nightmare Tenants, Slum Landlords, is both an advisor to government on all things eviction as well as a regular pundit on the subject on TV, press and radio.

The direct-talking Shamplina founded Landlord Action in the late 1990s after spotting a gap in the private rental market for a regulated evictions service backed by its own in-house legal service.

Exposure

It has since grown into one of the largest volume evictions specialists helped in part by Shamplina’s media exposure, and was bought by Hamilton Fraser in June 2017 for an undisclosed sum.

As part of the deal Shamplina took on the role of brand ambassador and joined the advisory council of another Hamilton Fraser business, The Property Redress Scheme.

He has since taken an increasingly commercial role within the insurance company and now joins its board as well as being made COO.

“I am very pleased to announce that I have accepted the new position of Chief Commercial Officer on the board of Hamilton Fraser,” he says.

“A great company with great people and at the heart and leading the way in The Private Rental Sector.”

Shamplina is also involved in helping promote several industries initiatives including The Lettings Industry Council, as well as his fund-raising boxing charity, Rumble with the Agents.
