Location Location Location to celebrate 25th anniversary with one-off special
Early pioneers of property programmes, Kirstie and Phil first burst onto our screens a quarter of a century ago.

It may be hard to believe but the nation’s favourite property programme, Location Location Location, will be turning 25 this Spring.
During that period, Kirstie and Phil have helped nearly 750 people with their property searches and viewed over 1,800 homes, been trusted with over £175 million of buyers’ money and featured hundreds of the nation’s estate agents.
The programme has also been hugely influential, spawning a whole new genre of TV programmes, has taught the public about the joys of buying and selling homes and given estate agents a more friendly face.
Kirstie Allsopp says: “However many times I hear it I still can’t believe it has been 25 years, it is an enormous privilege to have the opportunity to travel around the whole country working with so many lovely house hunters and such brilliant crew.
When Phil and I started we knew a bit about property and nothing about TV.”
“When Phil and I started we knew a bit about property and nothing about TV, we’ve learned a great deal more about property and a bit about TV. ”
Phil Spencer adds: “Although quite surreal, it’s also been fun looking back and seeing not only how we have changed through the 25 years, but also watching how our friendship developed and then strengthened across the years.
Special night
“Being able to visit every part of the four nations and support hundreds of people in their home searches has been an enormous privilege – none of which would have been achievable without so many brilliant people behind the camera.”
To celebrate the programme’s anniversary, on Wednesday 14 May, Channel 4 is putting on a special night of programmes featuring the launch of the new series.
This will include a one-off programme, with presenters Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer looking back at the changing socio-economic trends of the UK property market over the period and another in which the pair select their favourite mistakes and blooper moments.
