After a fiercely contested ‘best and final bid’ competition, the sale of Winnard Brown Group Ltd in Wigan has been completed, being acquired by Sycamore Property.

This is the second acquisition of the year for the Burnley-based firm, which was formed in 2007 by Ryan McCormack, and was one of the first agencies to be accredited by Burnley Council.

The deal was brokered by Adam J Walker and Associates Limited and the sale went to Burnley-based Sycamore Property. It was its second acquisition of 2025.

Craig Winnard, retiring Executive Director and Shareholder at Winnard Property Group, said: “It is with great pride and a sense of completion that we reflect on the journey of Winnard Property Group as we officially mark the sale of the business to Sycamore Property.”

New management

This sale represents a significant milestone and a natural next step for Winnard Brown, allowing them to focus their efforts on the continued management and evolution of their own property portfolios and other new ventures.

Winnard Property Group will now be managed by new Director, Ryan, who brings over 30 years of experience and expertise in property management to the company.

Sycamore Property hope to add at least one other agency to the group portfolio by the end of the year, continuing their programme of expansion.
