Reapit buys TEAM and Mayfair Office estate agency software firm Resource Techniques
Long-standing industry player will remain at its offices but MD Nigel Trickey is to step down and take a consultancy role.
Consolidation within the estate agency software sector continues apace following the announcement late on Friday that market leader Reapit has bought competitor Resource Techniques.
It provides web and online services primarily to agent membership organisations such as TEAM and The Mayfair Office.
Founded by Ian Penman in 1989, Resource Techniques has 3,000 estate agent customers in the UK and overseas. It specialises in software, web design and other online services.
Reapit say Resource Techniques will remain at its offices in Hendon but will undergo an aggressive expansion programme. Its products are also intended to make Reapit’s range of services more attractive to agents as they take on hybrid and online agents.
Also, Resource Techniques’ customers will now be offered Reapit’s RPM CRM platform.

Nigel Trickey (pictured, left), who was an estate agent during the 1980s but then helped establish Resource Techniques before becoming its Managing Director, says: “We have built a great website proposition for estate agents and now have over 350 sites running for our clients.
“I am very happy that we will now be able to offer our clients access to Reapit’s award-winning software and services to help grow their businesses.”
Nigel is to step down as Managing Director following the deal, but will be retained as a consultant.
Gary Barker, Reapit’s CEO (right), says: “We are very excited to welcome the Resource Techniques team and their clients to the Reapit Group.
“I am sure that we will be able to enhance the experience of all of their clients and I look forward to sharing details of our plans with them.”
