    Acquisitions and departures

Hamptons International has snapped up Patterson Bowe property and lettings agency operating in Knightsbridge, Kensington and Chelsea. Established over 25 years ago, the central London based independent agency has built a reputation as one of the most successful Lettings Partnerships in the heart of the capital, and it is the strength of the firm’s lettings portfolio and the combined specialist client service offered by its staff that ultimately appealed to Hamptons International, according to Lesley Cairns, the company’s Head of Lettings. Cairns said, “We are delighted to have acquired Patterson Bowe; one of Prime London’s most esteemed Lettings agencies. Through organic and acquisitive growth, the lettings division at Hamptons International has doubled in size over the past eight years and today’s acquisition reflects the company’s strategic plan to further expand its market share. “We are very much looking forward to welcoming staff and customers of Patterson Bowe into our organisation, who as new employees and clients of Hamptons International will have access to a wealth of benefits and opportunities that come with being part of a large network.” All members of staff at Patterson Bowe have already joined Hamptons International’s Knightsbridge branch. Directors of the agency, Stuart Patterson and Allister…

    Leaders continues on expansion trail

Leaders further increased its regional footprint by completing the acquisition of Southend-based Tudor Estates last week – keeping the firm’s expansion plans on course. The deal to acquire Tudor Estates, which was founded in 1959, comes just weeks after Leaders absorbed another Essex company into its national network. More Estate Agents, with branches in Clacton, Colchester, Chelmsford and Braintree, joined the organisation in January. This is Leaders’ third acquisition this year following a busy 2015 in which it spent over £25 million on 11 acquisitions and 32 new branches. Leaders now have 118 branches in total, including five in Essex. “Adding a fifth branch to our growing presence in Essex is fantastic news. We believe the county is home to an important property market with plenty of potential, Kevin Shaw (left), National Sales Director at Leaders, said. He added, “The Tudor team has gained a tremendous reputation in Southend over many years and we look forward to building on this. This acquisition gives us a chance to extend our coverage in Essex and roll out our range of services to more sellers and landlords.” The entire Tudor team has opted to remain with Leaders, and Luke Chiddicks, Sales Manager at…
