Nurtur operates both The Guild and Fine & Country but has also amassed money and expertise to back tomorrow's proptech stars.

The nurtur.group has made its first steps towards becoming a fully-fledged proptech incubator after some 50 companies got in touch following the launch of its Accelerator Programme in January.

Previously called epropservices, nutur.group is the parent company of Fine & Country and The Guild.

The programme has significant internal and external funding and will see former Reapit boss Gary Barker – who is also a NED on the nutur.group board and the programme’s Chief Investment Officer – lead a team of other experts including Andrew Stanton and Simon Whale.

They will then help grow an initial cohort picked from the 50 applicants.

Agent network

Link to news of movers and shakersBarker (pictured) says the programme is designed to help proptech start-ups not only with funding but also plug them into the large network of agents within the group.

Over a third of Applicants so far have been proptechs for lettings followed by compliance and data, property management, house sales and payments/banking.

“The key feedback we have received from applicants is that working with us would provide significant benefits such as industry experience, target-marketing to a network of over 2,100 agents, direct board experience and strategic support, and the ability to directly use the group’s resources, be that technology sales or operationally,” says Barker.

“We are extremely interested in a high proportion of the applicants we have received and are aiming to proceed with the first phase of launches as soon as possible.

“We are making every effort to ensure we are making the best decision for both the applicants and our networks.”

Barker is also looking to hire a dedicated investment manager with significant fund experience.
