Estate agent ‘earned £104,000 last month’ during boom market
Former senior figure Brendan Petticrew, who recently set up as a self-employed estate agent, has claimed the jaw dropping figure.

A well-known industry figure working in the Midlands has claimed to have earned £104,000 in a month after becoming a self-employed estate agent.
Brendan Petticrew, who has worked within the property industry for 26 years after joining it aged 19 as a trainee negotiator, says he is expecting to bank the extraordinary figure for his latest month of operation.
Pettigrew initially joined Connells before later working for Newman Estate Agents, Fine & Country and then returning to Newman as its MD. He then left that role in May last year to set up his own and eponymous agency in Warwickshire, utilising the Newman Property Experts platform.
During a chat with Sean Newman in the latest episode of his podcast he charts his journey from the bottom of the industry to its pinnacle, eventually earning just under £100,000 a year as an MD.
But Petticrew says he now wants to spend more time with his family but also maintain or exceed his earning potential,
It is this that led him to put his money where his mouth was and set up his own agency using the Newman Property Experts model.
“During my most recent period of trading I billed £144,000 of which I keep 70%,” he says.
The period, which covered the weeks before the stamp duty holiday ended was clearly exceptional, but Pettigrew reveals his earned £40,000 the month before.
“I am so pleased to see the incredible results Brendan has achieved, he has a clear process and works hard for his clients,” says Newman (pictured).
“It is great to have Brendan as part of our team and working with me to help raise the standards of estate agency in the UK.”
