Spicerhaart promotes mortgages chief to run estate agency division
Just a month after joint CEOs were announced, the firm appoints a new MD in its estate agency team - Tommy Taylor.

Spicerhaart has appointed a new MD for one of its core estate agency divisions.
Tommy Taylor (main picture) now heads up the ‘Orion chapter’ of the business covering London, Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.

He joins Dan Ansell, who heads up the Taurus chapter, covering the remaining counties where Spicerhaart operates. He was appointed a year ago.
Unlock potential
Taylor, who was previously responsible for Just Mortgages, says he wants to embrace changes in the market and foster a high-performance culture in the team.
“I am hugely excited by the potential this business has, and my role is to work with the leadership team to help unlock it,” he says.
“The market we have now is different, but I believe one that we are better suited to.
Prime example
Taylor’s career in the property industry began in 2006 when he started as a trainee mortgage consultant at Felicity J Lord, one of Spicerhaart’s brands. He has stayed in the company ever since, taking on a leadership role in 2012.
He says his progression was a prime example for others in the company to know what they can achieve.
Showcase

Antony Lark, Joint CEO at Spicerhaart, says: “It has been fantastic to see Tommy’s progression throughout Spicerhaart.
“This is a great role for him, allowing him to showcase his best traits and help us progress even in this difficult market.”
It was announced last month that two directors would take over the helm as joint CEOs at Spicerhaart after Paul Smith became executive chairman.
Lark, who was group managing director, and national operations director John Phillips took on their new roles with immediate effect.
