The Cavendish Sales Negotiator joins the committee, following in the footsteps of her father, former Chair Alex Horne.

David Adams, MD with Anna Horne, a Sales Negotiator with CavendishChester estate agent, Anna Horne, has been elected to the committee of the Chester Association of Property Professionals (CAPP).

Horne, a Sales Negotiator with Cavendish, replaces David Adams, both pictured, Managing Director of Cavendish, who stepped down at the committee’s AGM after 16 years.

Her father, Alex Horne, is a former Chair of CAPP and a longstanding member of the association.

Adams served as Chair in 2025 and took on the role of Past Chair this year. He said: “I am delighted to be passing the baton to Anna, who will bring with her fresh ideas and a desire to continue promoting the property profession in Chester.

“I have enjoyed my decade and a half on the committee, in particular being given the honour of serving as its Chair.”

History repeating itself

CAPP was formed at Chester’s Blossoms Hotel in November 1949, originally under the name The Chester Association of Auctioneers, Estate Agents and Valuers. It is described as the oldest collaborative association of its kind.

The committee promotes the interests of its members through continuing professional development (CPD) training, social events and an annual dinner.

Horne’s Cavendish colleague, Annie O’Brien, Lettings Development Manager, is the committee’s Membership Secretary.

Horne commented: “I am thrilled to have been asked to join the CAPP committee and am looking forward to helping to ensure that it continues to go from strength to strength and remains as important and invaluable as ever to its members.”

Cavendish was founded in 1993 and employs more than 30 people across its estate agency and lettings offices in Chester, Mold and Ruthin.
