Haart poaches Purplebricks regional director to its new Partnerships business

Tom Greenacre is to head up Haart's hybrid estate agency offering in the West of England and Wales, returning to his former employer.

Purplebricks is a senior man down after Tom Greenacre (above), its Divisional Senior Director for the South, revealed he has left to re-join his old employer, Haart.

Greenacre worked for Purplebricks for over four years starting out as a regional director, then a sales director and finally a divisional sales director.

His track record before that was at Spicerhaart, where he worked for 13 years rising through the ranks to the role of regional partner in 2016.

When he worked at Purplebricks he was one of the company’s ambassadors who spoke at regional events and was tasked with spreading the ‘disruption’ message that, in the early days, the company was keen to communicate.

“As we enter a new technological age things, industries and businesses will have to change and adapt as we go on,” he said at an industry seminar in 2017.

“People do still want to visit a high street premises, but some people don’t because you still have to wait for that premises to open. Our industry is certainly ripe for further disruption.”

Haart vs Purplebricks

The decision by Haart to morph into a partly hybrid proposition similar in many way to Purplebricks – except that its staff are employed rather than self-employed – has clearly helped Greenacre return to the agency he started his career at.

Greenacre is now one of the new Estate Agency Directors within Haart’s new ‘Partnerships’ programme for the West of England and Wales regions.

“Really excited to be here and for the huge expansion plans for the future so for anyone out there thinking of making a change please get in touch with me,” says Greenacre.
