Estate agency industry foundation, Agents Together, have announced they have reached an important and notable milestone in providing mentorships to individuals across the property industry. Launched in June 2020, 800 free mentorships have now been arranged, amounting to over 31,000 hours of engagement and support.

In addition, the number of volunteer mentors now signed up to provide support and mentoring across the industry has reached 400. Many originally started off as mentees and have themselves now chosen to help others by becoming a mentor.

In March, CEO, Sarah Edmundson, and Relationship Manager, Sam Offley, led a successful webinar on “Getting the most out of mentoring” that also featured two Agents Together volunteer mentors, Elaine Penhaul and Ross D’Aniello. The session discussed the benefits of both being a mentee and a mentor and how someone can get involved. Sarah said: “This support for the industry would not be possible if it wasn’t for the incredible work undertaken by the volunteer mentors and the dedication of our volunteer team of Founder Members, our relationship manager, Sam Offley, and our trustees and other supporters. I am humbled and grateful to, each and every one of those 400 plus individuals.”

Sam Offley added: “The mentorship programme invites applications from anyone in the industry who feels they would benefit from someone to talk to; someone to bounce ideas off, take inspiration from and be comforted by wise words and experience.

“The feedback has been incredible, with both mentors and mentees reporting how rewarding and vital the programme has become for them.”
