One of Hamptons’ all-female executive team who rose through the company ranks is celebrating 20 years with the company.

Mary Beeton, who is now head of residential sales and residential development, (main picture) started with the company in 2003 when a pint of milk was only 36p.

She enjoyed some successful years as associate director in the firm’s Wimbledon Village branch before becoming regional director in 2010, overseeing branches in north, south, and east London.

She later became head of sales for London, and then the company’s overall head of sales with responsibility for residential development.

Currently, she looks after 92 branches and 12 land and new home ‘hubs’ that make up Hamptons residential sales and development divisions.

‘Amazing career’

Beeton is a keen environmentalist and she formed the company’s working group on sustainability, Project Planet, in 2018.

The group has overseen the planting of more than 2,800 carbon-absorbing Mangrove trees, made each of Hamptons’ 96 branches a ‘refill station’, and donated £12,000 to the Marine Conservation Society.

“Your passion, drive, and ambition were apparent from the start”

Lesley Cairns, MD, Hamptons

Lesley Cairns, managing director at Hamptons, says: “I’d like to congratulate and thank Mary for an amazing career with endless achievements along the way.

“Your passion, drive, and ambition were apparent from the start, notably taking the Wimbledon branch to dizzy new heights, and most recently leading the sales division through one of the most historic, but best years in their history.”

Beeton says: “It’s been such a privilege to play my part in Hamptons’ growth over the last 20 years, and to work within such a supportive and ambitious business.

“The fact that those Wimbledon days feel like only yesterday evidence that time really does fly when you’re having fun!”

Beeton regularly shares her property and career expertise speaking at events and conferences, as well as panel discussions. She has been a judge for The Negotiator Awards for the past two years and was a panel member at The Negotiator Conference & Expo in 2021.
