It’s a hellish property market out there for some estate agent but particularly so it would seem for one agent in Devon.
The team at Helmores in Crediton, who clearly hanker for the movies as much as they do sales commission, have produced a Halloween film in preparation for next week’s ghoulish horror fest.
Featuring team members including senior sales advisor Becky Denford, partner Rob Stoyle and rental valuer Gill Davies, it relays the horrifying and yet also amusing story of a zombie, a witch and a vampire calling in to enquire about properties for sale and rent.
Most of the company’s other 17 more camera-shy staff appear to have steered clear of the Hammer House style production.
Helmores has past form in the world of quirky promotional videos. Last Christmas it piled in with a spoof John Lewis advert which garnered over 16,500 views on YouTube.
Rob Stoyle (left) also has plenty of opportunity to learn about the latest TV and film making techniques.
As well as being an estate agent, Rob is also an in-demand drone operator and has, via word of mouth, got paid TV work including a BBC documentary about the 1066 Norman invasion and an episode of ITV’s Neighbours from Hell as well as work for a bike charity event and a local travel company.
“There is a shortage of experienced drone pilots in the UK – a lot of people have got the licence but not all are used to dealing with the technical and creative requirements of TV work or know how to produce cinematic images,” Rob told the Negotiator recently.
