A letting agent from Exeter has been picked as the final person to join the latest series of reality TV dating show Love Island.
26-year-old Faye Winter, who works for three-branch estate agency East of Exe, joins a varied crew of contestants on the show including a civil servant, waitress, PE teacher, water engineer, semi-pro footballer and a labourer.
Winter says in publicity material released by the show that she has taken a sabbatical from her job at East of Axe to appear in the show, and plans to return to the property industry.
“I’m a lettings manager and I’ve got an amazing team. I go out and do valuations, win business for the company and I’ll do the odd viewing and find tenants.
“My main role is the sales side of things. I absolutely love it! I’ve actually only taken a sabbatical from work because in my ideal world, I’d love to go back to work.”
Estate agency
She also says that, once the excitement and exposure of appearing on Love Island have subsided, she would like to ‘get serious’ and set up her own estate agency.
She is not the first estate agent to appear in the ITV reality show. Harley Judge, who made a brief appearance on Love Island last year, went on to join Norwich estate agency BMA Estates.
And two years ago former Martin & Co lettings agent Harley Brash quit her job to join the programme and briefly enjoyed the trappings of the jet set lifestyle the programme promotes.
