Rightmove attempts to stimulate market with big ad campaign

Portal's ‘This Is it’ advert will be played across key programmes including the remaining Premier League football fixtures, Gogglebox and Love Island reaching millions.

Rightmove is launching a multi-channel advertising campaign that will reach millions of potential home-movers across TV channels ITV, ITVX, SKY, Channel 4 and YouTube this summer.

Rightmove’s ‘This Is it’ advert will be played across key TV shows including the remaining Premier League football fixtures, Gogglebox and Love Island, reaching a variety of potential movers at different stages of their buying, selling or renting journey.

THIS IS IT

The dimly lit ‘This Is It’ advert shows a couple (pictured) imagining what a new home and life could be like if rather than letting uncertainty and a search for the ‘perfect’ time get in the way, they took the leap now.

Rightmove coupleRightmove’s campaign will run until the beginning of August and follows its headline sponsorship of the 19thSeries of Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway during March and April.

As The Neg revealed in February Rightmove’s ‘This Is It’ advert has been used during the sponsorship to create a number of visuals for the programme, opening and closing each episode of the hit TV show.

Matt Bushby, Chief Marketing Officer at Rightmove, says: “Agents are approaching the end of what is typically a very active part of the year for the market in spring and will be busy planning the rest of their year.

“We want to reach different groups of potential home-movers this summer so that they turn to Rightmove to check what’s available and contact their local agent.

“The market is much more settled and resilient than many expected at the start of the year, so we hope to inspire more people to consider making a move.”
