Online agent pumps up its offering with new features
‘Where’s What’ can even pinpoint the nearest postbox to a property…
Online estate agents continue to demonstrate their innovation, with the latest news from Homeseller, which has unveiled a series of new features designed to ‘make selling property online a quicker, easier, more transparent and better informed process.’
A new online tool called ‘Where’s What’, gives sellers and potential buyers data on a range of local amenities. With 30 categories to choose from including schools, gyms, supermarkets and even your nearest post box, it informs buyers of everything they may need, local to the property.
There is also an instant property valuation – in three seconds – that draws on a range of data including 20,000,000 Land Registry records and recently sold properties prices. The unique algorithm, the result of two years’ development work and the first of its kind in the industry, means that online sellers will not have to wait for call backs and can begin the house selling process more quickly.
On the buyer side, Homeseller’s service will now also be able to inform a buyer of a property’s council tax band, stamp duty costs as well as displaying a property’s Energy Performance Certificate. This technology is a first in the estate agency industry.
Homeseller was set up by fourth generation estate agent and property expert Anthony Quirk in partnership with online entertainment entrepreneurs and Gamesys co-founders Noel Hayden and Robin Tombs.
Anthony says, “This is an incredibly exciting stage for Homeseller and cements our belief that heritage and expertise combined with technology and innovation are what will make the online sector thrive.
“This is also about responding directly to our sellers. The development of our instant valuation tool and ‘Where’s What’ responds to people who choose the online option because they lead busy lives and want to save time but still have concerns about whether online agents can guarantee the right level of local area knowledge. Sitting behind our business is a great deal of history and expertise and we want our technology to reflect that.”
Homeseller has also relaunched its Ms Holmes brand character. Previously played by actress Sarah Parish, the new animated Ms Holmes is the latest iteration of the character and has been developed to ensure the brand has longevity as the business enters an exciting new phase.
