Lomond expands presence in Home Counties
Property giant continues on acquisition path as it snaps up established independent estate agency in ‘strategically important area’.

Lomond has expanded its presence in the Home Counties with the acquisition of Prospect Estate and Lettings Agency, an independent sales and lettings agency with 10 branches in Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire.
Founded more than 35 years ago by Colin Wells and James May, Prospect has grown from a single office in Bracknell into a sizeable multi-branch business and now manages more than 3,500 properties.
Staff to remain

Many members of the Prospect team have spent decades with the business, including Managing Director Mark Towell (pictured), who joined as a trainee 25 years ago. According to Lomond, they will remain in place following the acquisition, and the agency will continue to trade from its existing offices under the Prospect brand.
Rob Mott, Chief Revenue Officer at Lomond, says: “Prospect’s strong brand heritage, loyal customer base and exceptional people perfectly align with Lomond’s core values. I’ve admired Prospect for some time, and this partnership presents an exciting opportunity to deepen our presence around London and the South East. I’m delighted to welcome Prospect’s talented team and valued clients to Lomond.”
We’ve been looking to identify the right business in this region for some time, knowing how strategically important the area is to our continued expansion.”

Colin Wells, Founder and CEO of Prospect, says: “When considering a partner for the next stage of our journey, alignment in values was paramount. Lomond shares that ethos completely, and I’m confident this partnership will enable Prospect to thrive while preserving what makes us unique.”
Ed Phillips, Group Chief Executive of Lomond, adds: “We’ve been looking to identify the right business in this region for some time, knowing how strategically important the area is to our continued expansion.”
