Moveli has recruited 15 new brokers this year which brings its total London team to 50, but has plans to reach 250 soon, its boss tells The Neg.

Rapidly expanding property brokerage Moveli has already recruited 15 estate agents this year and expects to add 16 more, its boss has told The Neg.

That will bring their numbers to 50, although Founder Ben Littlewood (main image) says they have ambitions to get to 250.

He points out though that at the top end of the market it is about “quality rather than quantity”.

Moveli’s expansion has benefitted from the market’s growing acceptance of the brokerage model.

Having a brand behind you opens doors.”

Independent brokers have been active in the UK for some time but when Moveli opened for business in 2017 this estate agency model was few and far between.

Now there are a number of players in the sector, the biggest of which is EXP UK and public awareness is on the increase.

These days Moveli is now well-known enough, says Littlewood, for agents to come to them rather than having to actively search them out.

And those agents are coming because they realise that rather than going it alone, having a brand behind them opens doors.

Higher commission

Commission rates of between 70% and 90% are far higher than they are for traditional agents too.

The brokerage operates mostly in London and the Home Counties but is now spreading into the West Country.

Moveli deals exclusively with high-end properties and competes with the likes of Savills and Knight Frank. The average sale value is £1.2 million and typical fees are around £16,000.

According to Littlewood, their USP is when they sell a property, everything will be handled by the broker, from the valuation to the viewings and the negotiations. This year they expect to sell between 180 and 250 homes.

Moveli’s latest recruit is London agent, Kim Turner, who has over twenty years experience in residential property and has worked for a number of agencies including Foxtons and Bective Leslie Marsh.
