Former estate agent and industry trainer Sarah Edmundson has been appointed to chair the Boomin ‘agent council’ as the challenger portal seeks to involve the industry in its development and direction of travel.

Edmundson, who is already CEO of Bruce brothers’ charity Agents Together and a co-founder of Estate Agency Allstars, is to spearhead Boomin’s attempts to get member agents to help steer Boomin as it attempt to offer an alternative to OTM, Zoopla and Rightmove.

Her first job will be to appoint independent agent partners to Boomin’s Strategic Board from a broad spectrum of the agent partner community. This group will play a key role in assessing the programme of new ideas being planned by the portal for agents.

The Strategic Board will also include Boomin co-founder Kenny Bruce, Chief Product Officer Tom Kirk, COO Andrew Stewart and Brand Director James Kydd.

“Sarah is the ideal candidate to chair the Strategic Board, having spent the majority of her career working with and supporting the estate agent community.

“She has shown independence of thought, strong leadership and empathy in her ongoing role as CEO of Agents Together, having supported hundreds of agents with both mental and business health challenges.”

Edmundson says: “I have worked with and supported agents for the past six years.

“This new role provides me with the opportunity to work even more closely with the agent community to give them a voice and to ensure they help to shape the future of Boomin.”
