New report urges estate agents to get ready for the green revolution

It's not just about electric cars – Just Move In says going green can save the planet – but also help boost an estate agent's bottom line.

The property industry is not renowned for its green credentials, but that is all set to shift as public eagerness to doing business with environmentally-friendly estate agents balloons.

The move to electric cars, the switch away from gas boilers and Boris Johnson’s recent Ten Point Plan for a Green Industrial Revolution all reveal that both the public and government are taking being green seriously.

House-moving set-up platform Just Move In says there is plenty that agents can do already to reduce their carbon footprint while also ‘boosting their bottom line’.

Its new guide called Sold On Sustainability for estate agents identifies the six key areas for agents to target.

These are energy use, waste, recycling, travel, technology, and green initiatives.

Just Move in claims that sustainable companies are more attractive to both potential customers and employees, many of whom share environmental concerns, and the opportunity to hook-up with like-mind local organisations.

B [or Benefit] Corporations are ethical companies that balance purpose with profit and have an eco-friendly culture.
