Huntington’s Disease is a condition that stops parts of the brain from working properly over time. It’s passed on (inherited) from a person’s parents. It gets gradually worse over time. Dom’s illness has now progressed to a stage where he requires round-the-clock medical assistance and is currently residing in a palliative care home.

Byfield told The Neg: “I was humbled to surprisingly be shortlisted by the Huntingdon’s Disease Association as Fundraiser of the year for the money I raised at the Agents Giving Ball on behalf of Do It For Dom.

“This is great to see after successfully doing multiple raises for DIFD with the Canoe adventure, Dragon Boats and Viking at The ESTAS.”

DRAGON BOATS

For the Dragon Boats event Agents Giving organised a Dragon Boat race (pictured) sponsored by HomeLet and LetAlliance at Fairlop Waters Country Park in Ilford, Essex.

Dragon BoatAs well as The Depositary the racing teams included Foxtons, Kerfuffle, Thomas Morris, TDS, Acaboom, Loop Software, Drivers & Norris, J P Gardner & Associates, Simply Conveyancing, Genmar, Caplen Estates, National Home Move, Boomin and Propertymark.

And later this year Byfield has set another challenge.
