Property bidding proptech bags senior industry figure to drive ‘revolution’

Offr says it's hired former Hamptons heavyweight Peter Everett to help build its business in the UK, which already has over 1,000 accounts.

A proptech firm has bagged one of the UK’s best-known and high profile property industry figures as one its senior team after securing £2.7 million in investor cash.

Online bidding platform Offr, which enables house hunters to buy, sell, lease or rent a property with one-click, has appointed Peter Everett as its Head of Agency in the UK.

Until last month Everett had been working at Hamptons International where he enjoyed a nine-year career which had culminated in being Head of Sales at its country department.

He also had a place on the company’s executive board and was directly responsible for 50 branches.
Prior to that he had spent a brief spell in property software sales and before that 25 years working his way up through the estate agency industry ranks.

That included a long stretch at General Accident’s property arm before it became Your Move and ultimately part of the LSL empire, and included the accolade of being its youngest branch manager.

1,000 accounts

Offr, which was started-up in Ireland but has now launched a business in the UK and plans to launch in Australia, says it now has 1,000 account since it soft-launched here earlier in the year. .

“When the founders at Offr first approached me and demonstrated the system, I could immediately see that it had been designed by agents for agents to help them maximise productivity within their business,” says Everett.

“It also offers transparency for buyers and sellers and turns a broken, time consuming analogue process into a slick, transparent digital experience for all parties.”
Everett will working alongside Offr’s three co-founders CEO Robert Hoban, CCO Philip Farrell and CTO Niall Dawson.
