Specialist property recruitment firm, Agent Recruit, has brought industry expert Matt Evans on board to oversee the business and take it to the next level.

Matt began his career in lettings in 2001 and has been responsible for running offices and teams in market leading estate and lettings agencies.

Alongside founder, Steve Wayne, who launched the business in 2022 with business networking leader Russell Bahar, the pair have 40 years’ combined experience in people placement. Wayne is also boss of London estate agency Benjamin Stevens.

Agent Recruit positions itself as the expert in property recruitment, understanding the skills and attitude needed to make a great estate agent.

Matt commented: “I love the interview process, not only as an employer, but also as an employee. It is the one place that you have the opportunity to demonstrate what you have to offer and also the shortest time to do it I thrive under the pressure of that environment.

Now I get the privilege of preparing our fantastic candidates for their own interviews and secure them their next dream job”.

The firm’s primary focus initially will be in London and the surrounding counties, with a view to expand the service to agencies across the whole of the UK.

“It’s about finding the candidates that fits the role, the company and, most importantly, the culture” added Matt. “I know what a great agent looks like because of my 20-year track record within the industry and that’s our massive point of difference.”

“We want to make every working day matter and will do everything we can to deliver on this.”

Steve said: “We have a long term vision for the business – it’s about finding people who are the right fit for their jobs and ensuring both the employer and employee are best matched to each other…. Not dissimilar to helping someone find their next dream property!”
