Following its soft launch in February, movebutler, the innovative digital onboarding platform from iamproperty, has officially gone live.
Over 900 estate agent branches are already onboarded, including names such as Martin & Co (Derby), Robert Watts, DDM Residential, and Linley & Simpson.
The platform is designed to eliminate the pinch points in the Private Treaty process to speed up and improve the home moving experience for everyone involved, giving agents more opportunity to grow their business and increase revenue, while improving the experience for consumers.
movebutler’s core services include digital onboarding journeys for clients, which will contribute to reducing agents’ admin time per transaction by around two hours. Buyers and sellers self-complete an onboarding journey digitally, sharing all information upfront to avoid delays and duplication later in the transaction.
An optional Method of Sale Audit feature has also launched, ensuring consumers are offered the right choice based on their circumstances every time, whether Private Treaty or auction. This has been developed to align with The Property Ombudsman’s guidelines.
The advanced compliance module enables full AML checks, which agents have the option to charge clients for, including automatic Title checks on the property and Online Biometric Identity Verification. Enhanced Due Diligence workflows have been incorporated in response to agent feedback, helping them to stay compliant with ease. The platform also deals with helping agents pull out material information automatically in line with recent guidance from Trading Standards, getting agents well ahead of the curve in this key area.
Ben Ridgway, iamproperty’s Group Managing Director, said: “We’re calling movebutler ‘the modern move’ as it’s been designed to modernise the moving process in the way that agents and consumers want to see and experience. For agents, it’s speeding up the process, helping them be compliant, reducing their admin workload and allowing them to dedicate more time to winning new instructions and agreeing sales. For consumers, it’s improving communication as they can access the platform to check on progress and updates whenever it’s convenient for them.”
Planned future developments
Features coming soon include a conveyancing service which will allow agents to get their clients legally prepared upfront, reducing the chance of sales falling through and speeding up completion by up to four weeks. As third-party suppliers like solicitors can be given access to movebutler, this will enable AML processes and legal checks to be aligned to reduce duplication, saving more time.
A Solicitor panel is also in place and buyers and sellers will have the option to select additional moving services during their onboarding journey. Later this year, mortgages will launch with instant eligibility checks and mortgage in principle offers from all the main lenders in around 60-seconds.
Exclusive supplier partnerships have been formed with Credas, TM Group and Mortgage Gym, while iamproperty’s own dedicated team of ‘movebutlers’ work behind the scenes of the platform, chasing updates and outstanding leads to take the burden away from agents.
Chris McKnight, Sales Manager at Martin & Co (Derby & Coalville), an early adopter of movebutler, added: “I’ve not seen anything like movebutler. An area where it will really add value for us is the client journey. Through movebutler buyers and sellers complete the onboarding process digitally, making it smoother for them and saving us time. It’s a win, win. The platform really simplifies the compliance process too and takes you through it step by step, something I think all agents will welcome. A lot of admin comes with the current process and it’s so important to get it right, but we’re not administrators and want to be spending our time doing what we love – selling property, which movebutler allows.”
A range of launch offers are available to agents who start their movebutler journey now, including free Title checks and £50 worth of compliance credits.
