End-to-end property services firm, the SDDE Smith Group, has purchased three companies to quadruple its turnover in two years.

The Teesside-based company plans to hit a turnover figure of £25 million by the end of this year.

Recently, the firm acquired ResiCentral, a property technology firm, and Selwyn Hedgley – an established local estate agent. It also bought Cochranes Law Firm at the end of last year.

SDDE Smith, which already owns the brands ‘Host and Stay’, ‘Grey-Smith Legal’ and ‘WOODSmith Construction’, provides end-to-end services for the real estate industry.

The group has created 15 new jobs, and now has a 315-strong team operating across the region. It is also planning a fourth purchase this year.

Next acquisition

Dale Smith, owner of SDDE Smith Group (main picture left), says: “Thanks to successful acquisitions we are continuing to grow our portfolio and increase our revenue each year.

“All of the acquisitions were managed by our accounting partner Anderson Barrowcliff, and within each deal they’ve shown their commitment to the SDDE Smith Group time and time again and we’re already working with the firm on sourcing our next acquisition.”

James Dale, partner at Anderson Barrowcliff (main picture right), says: “We’ve been working with the SDDE Smith Group since early-2022 and for us these aren’t just ‘acquisitions’, they’re key steps in our client’s overall growth model and goals for the business.

“We’re currently making inroads with a fourth acquisition, and look forward to assisting the group in building its portfolio in-line with ambitious company targets.

“Over the last few years, we’ve seen an uprising in dynamic entrepreneurs from the region, such as Dale and the SDDE Smith Group team, conquering and disrupting their market sectors and it’s a privilege to be part of their business journey.”
