Lomond Group’s Stonehouse brand has acquired a rental agency adding the group’s already fast-growing portfolio of properties.

The purchase of Grant Fairbairn Property Leasing and its 200 properties brings Stonehouse’s total to more than 1,750.

It is the latest in a series of acquisitions by the Lomond Group, which have seen it become the largest estate agency in Scotland.

In April, Lomond Group announced the purchase of the lettings and sales business of homes4u and student rental specialist Around Town Flats.

The group, which is backed by private equity firm LDC, now boasts a UK-wide portfolio of 35,000.

Andrew Seldon, Lomond Group’s CEO for North and West of Scotland, said: “Our latest acquisition brings together two home-grown Aberdeen success stories.

“It also underpins the Lomond Group’s market-leading profile across Scotland. After a year of sustained growth, we have propelled the number of properties under the management of our Scottish brands to approaching 10,000.”
