It starts out as a standard video missive from a senior member of the property industry but soon descends into Benny Hill comedy territory.
We are talking, of course, about one of the lockdown’s finest social media moments delivered yesterday by Ian Dobrin, former Connells big beast, industry recruitment guru and currently eXP UK hybrid estate agency advocate.
Dobrin took to his LinkedIn page to send his 30,000+ followers a message of hope on what appears to be his home sun terrace, togged out in his best suit and tie and ready to give a pep talk, advising those watching to keep their spirits up.
And despite the Coronavirus lockdown, he advised, the UK business environment will soon improve and hopefully return to some sort of normality, a message the 140 or so friends and colleagues who commented on his post echoed.
“This I think is my first video since I left Connells last year,” he says. “But I just wanted to say that it felt like back to work for me today after the Bank Holiday even though I have no work to do.”
Dobrin then gave those watching another reason to smile. The 57 year old arose from his alfresco desk to adjust some furniture, revealing a more casual look. We shall let the pictures do the talking. And yes, those are Spurs pyjama bottoms. Watch the video yourself.
