Boydens expands block management into London
Philip Boyden and newly promoted Assistant Manager Euan Shepherd are overseeing the growing block management operation.
Colchester-based estate and lettings agent, Boydens, is expanding its block management service, having secured its first clients in London.
The company now manages more than 3,000 units across Essex and Suffolk, with its nine-strong block management team based at its Colchester head office.
As part of the expansion, Euan Shepherd has been promoted to Assistant Manager, with responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service. He has been with Boydens for four years, during which time he has received a series of promotions.
The team manages a varied portfolio, including traditional leasehold properties, converted historic buildings and modern purpose-built blocks ranging from six to 120 units. Its work also extends to communal areas on estates made up primarily of freehold properties, as well as private estates featuring luxury houses and apartments.
Growing regional reach
Boydens manages converted buildings that include former mills, hotels, schools, malt houses and a brewery. Its established regional client base includes Colchester, Chelmsford, Felixstowe, Ipswich and Sudbury, with the business now looking to build on its presence in London.
Philip Boyden (main image, left), managing director of Boydens, said: “Euan’s promotion is recognition of the hard work and dedication he has brought to the team since he joined us four years ago.”
Euan Shepherd (main image, right) added: “I’m delighted to take on greater responsibility for the team. We are very busy with several new clients including our first in London, a prestigious development close to St Paul’s Cathedral.
“Developers, landlords, freeholders and Right to Manage companies like the fact that we can provide them with a full block management service.
“We have lots of further exciting opportunities in the pipeline, but the priority is to continue delivering the best possible service to our existing clients while taking on new ones.”
