Leading legal industry figure Beth Rudolf has backed end-to-end moving platform Movebutler as one of the key products that will help speed up the conveyancing process.

Rudolf has much weight within the sector. In recent years she has been CEO of the Society of Licensed Conveyancers, MD for a top 20 conveyancing law firm and is currently Director of Delivery for the Conveyancing Association.

She also represents conveyancers on the Home Buying and Selling Group which is working with government backing on several projects to speed up and simplify sales.

With this hat on Rudolf has praised Movebutler, which is part of the Iamproperty auction group, as having a key role in making homeowners aware that they need to keep their property history information safe, so that they are ready to sell when the time comes.

Administrative burden

“Many are likely to be unaware which documents are important; this potentially leads to the conveyancer re-producing the property history each time the property is sold, adding to the administrative burden, and lengthening the time it takes to complete,” she says.

Rudolf adds that while there are a number of products on the market that take parts of the process and digitise them to make efficiencies, Movebutler aims to be the only platform that will encompass the entire moving process.

“The emphasis that is being placed on the collation of material facts is hugely encouraging as it’s exactly what the industry needs,” she adds.

“Not only will it support the conveyancing sector, but with more information, agents can spend time finding the right buyer for the right property, a buyer who is properly informed, and more likely to be able to complete; especially if their mortgage broker has the information to select a lender whose lending policy accepts the property title.”
