eXp to investigate high-profile agent over TV allegations
Adam Day, boss at eXp, says the US-style agency will investigate claims that Ian Wyn-Jones misled customers.

Boss of eXp, Adam Day (main picture) has ordered an investigation into the conduct of a North Wales estate agent accused of misleading customers by a TV documentary.

Ian Wyn-Jones, who is an independent agent currently working under the eXp banner, is accused of inventing viewings and feedback, as well as creating false offers.
A Welsh language documentary, which was broadcast by S4C, called ‘Y Byd ar Bedwar’ featured several disgruntled former customers of Wyn-Jones.
Complaints
The complaints cover a period between 2019 and this year. Wyn-Jones started working with eXp in 2021.
Day says “much of the S4C programme was dedicated to alleged issues from 2019 and therefore before Ian joined eXp”.
Wyn-Jones described himself on his website as “a proud Welshman”, who has 19 years’ experience in the property industry. The website has now been suspended.
Purplebricks
He is a former Purplebricks territory manager, who quit in 2019 to take up a Welsh franchise with competitor EasyProperty.
He has appeared on the Homes Under the Hammer TV programme, as well as a S4C show, called For Sale, where he advises people on valuing and selling.
Ian Wyn-Jones is an independent estate agent in his own right and a highly successful one.”
Day, international expansion leader at eXp, says: “Ian Wyn-Jones is an independent estate agent in his own right and a highly successful one in North Wales with a track record of selling a high volume of properties over many years.
“The S4C programme broadcast yesterday raised issues that we are now investigating with a view to deciding upon a course of action once that investigation is complete.”
He says eXp will speak to National Trading Standards even though it has decided not to investigate due to a lack of evidence.
“We will make a further statement once our internal review of the matter has concluded,’ he says.
eXp has confirmed to The Neg that Wyn-Jones has been suspended while the investigation is carried out.

I nearly joined EXP, and was about to be paired and mentored by this chap. Although, mentored is not the right word. More that I was due to be part of his pyramid of income (existing EXP agents earn from the other EXP agents that they bring into the fold)
