Fashionable smartphone property portal lands first 100 agents
Manchester-based MoveStreets has signed up several high profile agents including Chancellors and Dacre Son & Hartley and says it has plans to go national.
‘Tinder’ style smartphone property portal MoveStreets has revealed the first major estate agents to join its platform and says in total it now has more than 100 agents on board.
The latest to add its properties is Yorkshire agency Linley & Simpson, which joins online agencies Doorsteps and OpenHouse, along with Dacre Son & Hartley, Beals, The Kings Group and Chancellors.
The app, which is launching in the north first before rolling out beyond, now has 16,500 properties listed on its platform.
MoveStreets appears to have a huge hill to climb in order to take on the big three portal players, but the company has the considerable financial backing of the billionaire Kamani family, wh0 have made their money from fashion websites.
This connection means it’s trying out marketing techniques very few if any estate agents or portals have tried before, including persuading social media influencers to plug its brand.
In recent weeks this has included Towie star Gemma Collins and Love Island contestants Luke Mabbott and Molly Smith (pictured), who have promoted its only £2,000 giveaway to drive downloads of its app.
MoveStreets was launched in August last year by Adam Kamani (pictured, below) and his wife Charlotte.
His is the son of BooHoo founder Mahmud Kamani and is an entrepreneur in his own right, having founded PrettyLittleThings.co.uk with his brother.
He also runs established property firm The Kamani Group, which operates a substantial property management and lettings operation in Manchester and beyond including in Dubai, Mumbai and New York.
Agents can join MoveStreets for free for a year.
