Mum and son duo are latest EasyProperty franchisees
Sharon Coleman and son Kieron are establishing the hybrid brand in the Thames valley between Reading and Newbury.
Hybrid estate agency Easyproperty has revealed its latest franchisee, a mother and son team who are now running the company’s Thames Valley West franchise covering Newbury.
Sharon Coleman and son Kieron, who are to be based in the village of Stanford Dingley between Newbury and Reading, say they decided to start up the business because they believe the company’s hybrid approach to property sales make it easier for vendors than ‘trading with a high street agent’, says Sharon.
“If you are looking to sell or buy a home in this area and don’t want to pay £6,000 plus to do it, then we are here,” she adds
“What we can give you is excellent service and the support you need to find your next home or sell your existing home.”
Confusion
Her son Kieron says: “With a traditional agency you speak to a lot of people which can lead to confusion. With us you only speak to us two. It gives it a much more personal feel.
“It also means we are up to date on every client and know exactly what each person needs.”
Sharon is the one with property experience. She has worked in the past for two London and Cheshire-based property management firms and last year began working for EasyProperty.com as a freelance consultant before taking up the franchise.
Son Keiron had until recently been studying for a Masters degree in California but had to unexpectedly return to the UK due to the coronavirus pandemic.
EasyProperty currently offers a triple-layered fee structure. This includes a low-cost up-front fee of £795, a split fee of £395 upfront and £895 on completion or a traditional commission of 1% on completion with a minimum set at £1,200, all inclusive of VAT.
The EasyProperty agency was re-launched in late 2019 by industry businessman David Brierley with the backing of EasyJet founder Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou. It has arouind 40 territories and currently advertises 95 properties for sale on Rightmove.
