Spicerhaart spends £6 million on ‘new way of working’
Investment includes £5 million telephone system to enable staff to work in the office, at home and on the move.

Estate agency group Spicerhaart has invested £6 million in tech including a new telephone system that will enable its staff to work both in the office, at home or on the road depending on their roles.
The company says that in particular its new telephone system, supplied by Cisco WebEx, will help the company deal with the new realities of running a part-hybrid, part traditional company.
As well as the challenges of staff who work both at home or in the office as Covid grinds on, Spicerhaart now operates a hybrid network of agents based out of hubs but who otherwise work either at home or on the go.
Its Chief Information Officer Steve Lamb (pictured) tells The Neg: “We’ll all be using the new Webex app which will deliver us a rich, consistent experience no matter where we are or what device we use.
“It will be one place for all collaboration between client or colleague with functions such as calling, messaging, video meetings and much more.”
As part of the new way of working, some £1 million has also been spent on new computers, software and security, along with £5 million on the new telephone system.
Spicerhaart says it has been preparing for these changes for two years. This includes enabling its estate agency contact centre staff to handle chat, phone, email and social media all at the same time via one platform.
“Spicerhaart has a proud history of investing and renewing regularly and will continue to do so in order to grow as a company,” adds Lamb.
