Property industry giant snaps up London riverside estate agency
The acquisition of boutique Battersea estate agent will strengthen Lomond’s foothold in a ‘pivotal London location'.
Lomond has announced the purchase of boutique Battersea estate agency Hamnett & Ganpot, which boss John Ennis (pictured) says will further consolidate its position in the London property market.
This follows Lomond’s landmark acquisition of Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward (KFH) at the tail end of 2024.
Established 17 years ago by industry professionals Oliver Hamnett and James Ganpot, Hamnett & Ganpot has built a strong reputation in the Battersea waterside market.
We remain committed to partnering with businesses that align with our values.”
The agency, Lomond says, has grown organically over the years, driven by its dedication to client service and customer retention. Initially operating from a branch on Lots Road, Fulham, the firm gradually shifted eastward, focusing on the ever-evolving Battersea property landscape.
Areas of significant regeneration
This acquisition aligns with Lomond’s long-term growth strategy of targeting high-demand areas experiencing significant regeneration, including the transformative Battersea Power Station development and the influx of newly built residences surrounding it.

Ennis comments: “Our acquisition strategy is exemplified by the complementary nature of these recent deals – pairing the scale and heritage of KFH with the agility and specialist expertise of Hamnett & Ganpot.
“This acquisition strengthens our foothold in a pivotal London location, and we remain committed to partnering with businesses that align with our values and meet our high operational standards.”
Oliver Hamnett, Co-Founder of Hamnett & Ganpot, says: “After 17 years of building a business that prioritises long-term client relationships, we are delighted to hand the reins to Lomond, a company that shares our commitment to service excellence.”

And James Ganpot, Co-Founder of Hamnett & Ganpot, adds: “After many fulfilling years with Hamnett & Ganpot, my focus is now shifting towards the developer and construction sector. I look forward to new challenges while remaining in the industry, and I’m confident that our clients are in the best possible hands.”
The Neg has asked Lomond what will happen to Hamnett & Ganpot’s existing staff and office, but is yet to receive a response.
