Kent estate agency goes barking mad – or are we the fools?

Independent estate agency, Wards, awards their first dog to one lucky mover. Or is it just one of yesteray's April Fools videos?

Wards Estate Agents joined in the April Fools fun once again with their latest video, where one of their agents visits a vendor early in the morning to present him with an adorable surprise – his very own Bassett Hound named Rufus!

Jessie, the Wards Estates agent, explains that every property they sell is in with the chance of bringing their For Sale board to life by winning their very own dog but, it’s evident, that nobody told the vendor that.

In the video, which was shared on their social media, they perfectly capture the surprise of the homeowner as he is abruptly awarded his new Bassett Hound as part of their new “For Sale board competition.”

The peppy estate agent couldn’t be more excited but Keith, the homeowner, is left speechless and confused in his dressing gown, holding a 16kg dog.

Last year, Wards made headlines with their April Fool’s Day video, where they humorously introduced a virtual reality concept that allowed customers, with the use of virtual reality goggles, to “live in” and test properties for up to three months before making an offer. While the virtual reality aspect was a playful nod to the company’s innovation, the essence of customer care and attention to what’s important was evident.

This year’s video pays homage to their now famous dog boards and, Managing Group Director, Aldo Sotgiu, said: “We were blown away by the response towards our For Sale boards and, even though this competition is just an April Fool’s joke, it does go to demonstrate our commitment to ensuring a truly memorable experience for our customers.”
