Former bathroom tycoon launches tenant onboarding platform for agents

Josh Pavis says Rently automates the tenant onboarding and management process while offering renters a 'passport' that simplifies house hunting for properties.

A new lettings platform has launched that turns enquiries from tenant applicants into qualified leads while offering renters a passport that, if it becomes used widely, will remove the need to ‘sign up’ with multiple local agents when they are house hunting.

Rently integrates with all the major portals and CRMs and handles everything from screenings to viewings and applications.

By automating the process it creates “considerable efficiencies” and frees up both time and money, its founder claims, and can even recommend alternative properties to those tenants who are unsuccessful in their original application.

Rently helps letting agents accept and manage offers from applicants more efficiently.”

Founder Josh Pavis says: “Rently helps letting agents accept and manage offers from tenant applicants more efficiently to not only save them time and effort but also improve the tenant and landlord experience”.

Unlike its rivals, Pavis claims, users can access all the necessary tools from within the platform itself.

Rently is completing its beta testing with Bournemouth estate agency, MRKT, which has helped shape the platform.

It is now available to other agencies to use and its launch will be supported by a Win a month’s rent’ prize campaign to help promote it within the tenant community.

Pavis does not have a property industry background and the idea came to him after he had sold his successful online bathroom company but was having a nightmare trying to rent a home in London.

Having tenants’ details pre-loaded makes the process easier and faster for tenants and gives them an advantage in a competitive market, which will help encourage sign-ups, he says.

“The service is free for tenants. Prices for agents vary depending on enquiry numbers, but it will cost around £200 per month for smaller agents and up to £400 for larger ones,” he adds.
