Rightmove teams up with Trading Standards to launch CPR course

The training has been created to help with Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations compliance.

Rightmove has launched a course for estate and letting agents to help them understand and remain compliant with the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations (CPRs).

The course has been created with National Trading Standards Estate and Lettings Agency Team (NTSELAT) to make sure agents have all the information they need to feel confident in complying with the CPRs.

BIGGEST CHALLENGE

Agents regularly say that keeping up with regulatrions is one of their biggest challenges and The Neg revealed earlier this year how Rightmove had launched ‘Teams View’ to help agencies manage their Rightmove training and make the most of its free training courses available.

This latest course breaks down what the CPRs are and how they are enforced as well as going through each aspect of the CPRs in a series of short and accessible videos for agents. The training will be led by Emma Cooke, Policy and Information Manager and Alison Farrar, Operations Manager at NTSELAT.

A section on complying with Material Information Part A is included and the course will be updated with Parts B and C as soon as they’re announced.

Regultaions changing

Jason Charles, Rightmove Head of Education, says: “Agents tell us that their teams keeping on top of fast-moving regulations and new guidance can be challenging.

“We wanted to make it easier for agents to access a course to help them feel confident complying with the CPRs, in a way that fits around their busy schedules.

“We’re proud to have delivered so much free training to agents this year, helping agents to keep up with their CPD hours, and we will continue to provide leading resources and education to help agents succeed.”

Agents can begin the course and contribute towards their continuing professional development hours HERE.
