UK virtual tour platform and proptech firm EyeSpy360 has beaten other competitors to sign an exclusive global partnership with the 4th largest and fastest growing realty brokerage in the US, eXp Realty. eXp are a cloud based real estate brokerage who are partnering with EyeSpy360 to be able to offer their technology to eXp’s 23,000-strong agent network.
EyeSpy360’s tech will be rebranded as eXp360 Tours and will enable its agents to create 360 virtual tours, 3D models and floor plans and conduct ‘virtual viewings’ instantly using EyeSpy Live.
“This last feature has proved to be popular with agents across the globe who can often spend hours travelling to and from viewings,” says Andrew Nicholls, CEO of London-based EyeSpy360.
“It’s a huge coup – we have been working with eXp for about a year and we are now integrating with their ecosystem including their CRM platform(s) so they can offer it to all their agents globally.”
“There is an ongoing paradigm shift as to how consumers visualise a property during their search phase and how they conduct and pre-qualify viewings via a mobile or any other device.”
Michael Valentine, COO of EyeSpy360 says they started working with eXp after a US agent working for them used the tech and then recommended it upwards to the company’s management.
eXp Realty has grown rapidly from a few hundred agents in two US states five years ago to a huge network of 23,000 agents covering the US, Canada and has recently launched operations in Australia and the UK with other countries in sight.
As The Negotiator reported last month, its UK operation is being led by Adam Day of Hatched, eMoov and easyProperty fame.
eXp Realty is unusual because it operates via a gaming-style, cloud-based virtual world called VirBELA.
It offers agents significant advantages over traditional brokerage models including access to financial and transactional products as well as the ability to collaborate plus training tools and the ability to socialise with other agents and the company’s staff digitally via avatars.
This is one of the biggest Proptech partnerships to date and for a UK based firm to be exclusively partnering with one of the largest brokerages in the US is massive, not just for EyeSpy360 but the Proptech scene as a whole.
