Property imaging firm set to make redundancies

Giraffe360, which specialises in 3D tours, tells The Neg some staff are set to lose their jobs as part of a reorganisation.

Giraffe 360 Mikus OpeltsProperty imaging specialist firm Giraffe360 is planning to make redundancies as part of a reorganisation of its staffing.

The proptech company, which has two offices in the UK, confirmed there was “one function at risk of redundancy”, that affects the staff in that team.

The marketing team is the one in question and the redundancies represent around 2% of the firm’s total workforce.

Giraffe360 employs more than 200 professionals working with around a thousand brands in over 30 countries. It has offices in London, Manchester, Riga and Liepāja in Latvia and Miami. It has previously said its fastest growing market is in the United States.

These changes are driven by shifts in how we operate and changes in how budgeting is allocated.”

Samy Jeffries, CCO at Giraffe360, told The Neg: “Giraffe360 is making a small number of organisational changes and we have identified one function at risk of redundancy.

“We have been working directly and transparently with the individuals in that team.

“These changes are driven by shifts in how we operate and changes in how budgeting is allocated. They do not change our broader plans for growth or the continued development of our product and market position.”

Increase enquiries

Three years ago, Giraffe raised £13.2 million from both existing and new investors, including US venture capital firm Founders Fund.

It specialises in floorplans, 3D tours and videos to “increase enquiries” and “close listings up to five times faster”.

Streamline

The firm says it can help estate agencies with “streamlining the capture and creation of high quality listing content”.

Giraffe360’s core offering is 360º photography, using “bespoke, tripod-mounted cameras, packed with the late tech such as Sony sensors, Lidar (remote sensing technology) and an AI chip”.

Tripod cameras to record virtual tours of properties start at £159 per month according to the Giraffe360 website.
